Florida State University alumnus Orenn Fells earned a bachelor’s degree in the humanities and a master’s degree in sports administration from the institution before moving to Orlando for law school. Orenn Fells remains active with locally focused organizations, including the membership organization 100 Black Men of Greater Orlando.

Founded by a dedicated group of African-American professionals in 1963, 100 Black Men of America pools the expertise and resources of its 10,000 members to organize community initiatives focused on leadership development, health and wellness, youth education, and economic prosperity.

The organization’s Greater Orlando chapter encourages educational achievement through its Project Success scholarship program. Since its inception, the program has awarded young African-American scholars attending Jones High School with more than $1 million dollars in tuition funding.

In addition to scholarship opportunities, students engage in personal development workshops to enhance their social and emotional skills and improve their academic abilities. Participants are also supported through the college admission process and encouraged to explore a range of career paths.
